Intake temp: 41.3 F
This turtle came to the New England Aquarium with depressed respiratory function along with other classic signs of cold-stunning. Radiographs revelealed lots of gas in the GI. The turtle has been started on antibiotics.
Initially this turtle was not eating. This is not that uncommon with severely cold-stunned turtles, occasionally these turtles will not resume normal eating for a couple of weeks.
12/11/07 Update
This turtle has started to eat well in the past couple of days. It has also started on antibiotic eye drops to both eyes.
