Similar classes are available for children 12 to 24 months old through our Sea Squirts Preview classes.

Sea Squirts classes introduce your child to the wonders of the aquatic world while focusing on their developing motor and language skills and encouraging the development of early science skills such as observation and exploration. Program topics are listed below for 2012 and looking ahead to 2013. Classes run for one hour and include free play, circle time with songs, stories and activities, art projects and a visit to the Aquarium exhibits. Classes will incorporate a live animal encounter when appropriate to the topic. Classes cover each topic over four weeks.


There is a fee of $50.00 for members and $95.00 for non-members for each series of four classes. Adults are included in the cost of each child. Aquarium admission is included in the cost for non-members as classes end in the Aquarium. A $2 service fee will be added to each ticket for non-members. Younger siblings are invited to attend class. If they are close enough in age to participate they may require registration themselves.


Classes are held in the Aquarium's Ocean Center, which is across the plaza from the main Aquarium building.

A minimum of five children participants will be required to run a session. Please tell your friends to sign up!
