The Aquarium's family programs include activities offered during visits, family classes and workshops, and family overnights and field trips.
Aqua Kids Family Day
On the first and third Monday of every month (excluding holidays), the Aquarium offers a variety of activities designed especially for young children in the Curious George Discovery Center.
Family Explorers
Family explorers classes are for children ages 2 to 4 accompanied by an adult. The series are divided by age and introduce toddlers to science and marine animals.
Little Fishes Program
Explore the world of water with your 1-year-old. This group meets for a six-week series in the Curious George Discovery Corner inside the Aquarium.
Ocean Detectives
Ocean Detectives programs include Saturday exploration for 5- to 10-year-olds and squid dissection for 7- to 13-year-olds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Annual First Night Workshop
Kids create a marine-based costume or puppet to wear in Boston's First Night Grand Procession. This program is recommended for ages 5 and up. Parent supervision and participation is required.
Family Field Trips
Spend a few hours on a Saturday with your family exploring local marine environments. Aquarium educators help your family learn about and explore the watery world around you.
