Investing in the New England Aquarium gives individuals the opportunity to be a force for change. Operating the Aquarium itself as well as our world-class education, conservation and research programs is expensive. It is thanks to generous donors who provide funding that we are able to accomplish our mission. You can help us meet our immediate operating needs through an annual gift or help support specific programs or capital needs.

Individual Support

Each year the New England Aquarium relies on people like you to provide the financial support necessary to operate our wide-reaching programs. Admission fees alone do not cover the costs of operating the Aquarium and its education, conservation and research programs. Each year the institution relies on generous donors to contribute more than 30 percent of its operating budget of more than $37 million. The New England Aquarium is grateful for gifts of any kind that enable us to create the next generation Aquarium.

The New England Aquarium is recognized by the IRS and the State of Massachusetts as a nonprofit organization. We gratefully accept gifts of all denominations at any time, including cash, securities, and other gifts. Contributions may be made in any amount and are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
