The Teacher Resource Center provides teaching materials, curriculum guides, theme-based kits, and biofacts, all of which are available by loan.

Join us for TRC Coffee Hours!

Our informal Coffee Hour get-togethers offer teachers the opportunity to explore the Teacher Resource Center (TRC) free items for loan, share ideas, learn about various classroom supports, and RELAX. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be offered. Activities will be scaled, and all educators —kindergarten through high school, after-school, and home school—are welcome! 


Dates and Themes

All gatherings take place in the Teacher Resource Center from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

March 11 — Utilizing games in the Science Classroom

  • Featured Kits: Whale, Sea Turtle, and Shark

March 25 — Using biological specimens in the Classroom

  • Featured Kits: Whale, Sea Turtle, Lobster, and Sea Stars

April 8 —Developing and using models in the classroom 

  • Featured Kits: Fish: Form and Function, Marine Debris, and Tidepool

April 29 —Using Ethograms (animal behavior data worksheets) and Mathematics to analyze and interpret data 

  • Featured Kits: Penguin, and Seal and Sea Lion

Coffee Hours are free. RSVP is requested via email at with the subject line “Coffee Hours.”
