Aquarium visits and our many programs are a strong fit for the Massachusetts Curriculum Standards.

Here are guidelines on how the standards apply to a field trip visit, our school programs, and our teacher workshops.

New England Aquarium Grades PreK-2 school programs support Life Science skills, Mathematics skills, Technology and Engineering skills and Social Science and History skills in the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. 

Grades 3–5

New England Aquarium Grades 3-5 school programs support Life Science skills, Earth Science skills, Mathematics skills, Technology and Engineering skills and Social Science and History skills in the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. 

Grades 6–12
