Step-By-Step Field Trip Planning Guide

Our field trip planning guide includes chaperone policies, pricing and payment policies, reservations and ways to help you make the case for an Aquarium field trip. We also cover check-in and parking, planning your choice of presentations and shows, lunch and gift shop options.

Activities for a Field Trip

To make the most of your field trip, we recommend activities you can do with your students before, during and after your field trip. Check out Aquarium scavenger hunts, the NEAq Insider mobile audio and video tour and behind-the-scenes tours.

Aquarium Programs for Field Trips

Add a range of programs to your Aquarium visit, including Explorer classes, IMAX films, Whale Watch (out of season until April) and behind-the-scenes tours.

Prepare for a Field Trip

Join the Teacher Resource Center staff for the annual Educator Appreciation Night, and experience the exhibits, Simons IMAX Theatre and much more for free. Download the printable Schooling catalog including professional development workshops, classroom programs and IMAX films offered on site at the Aquarium.

Making the Reservation

Please make your reservation at least two weeks in advance to qualify for the group rate. Book your field trip or program with Central Reservations at 617-973-5206, email groupsales@neaq.org or complete a group inquiry form.
