Pack a picnic and enjoy Sounds of the Sea on the Boston Esplanade!

Join us Wednesday, August 15, at 7 p.m. for an artful collaboration between the New England Aquarium and the Boston Landmarks Orchestra with Conductor Christopher Wilkins at the DCR Memorial Hatch Shell.

The evening will feature animal song and video representations of sea life woven together with classical favorites, as well as a special introduction by the Aquarium’s new President and CEO Vikki Spruill. A highlight of the evening will be the world premier of Oceana by Stella Sung. The composition reflects the individual and collective efforts of Sung, Wilkins, and Dr. Scott Kraus, VP and Senior Science Advisor, Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at the New England Aquarium.

Bring the family and picnic blanket. Our educators will also bring some familiar tidepool animals to introduce to visitors at our table set up for the occasion. We look forward to seeing you at:
