Join us for two swell events to celebrate our oceans!

Every year we plan free, public festivals here on Central Wharf overlooking Boston Harbor. It’s a way to connect people to our oceans, learn about some of their most majestic inhabitants, and have a little fun, too!

These activities are free and open to the public. Aquarium admission is not included.

Are you looking to engage families with your educational activity? Do you want visitors to know about the work you do to protect our oceans and reduce single-use plastics?

Join us! We are welcoming like-minded organizations to celebrate oceans with us and to start conversations focused on plastic consumption. If your organization offers opportunities for individuals, families, or groups to engage in our shared environmental mission, we would like you to be part of our day! We are highlighting the following public and education efforts:

  • Reducing single-use plastic
  • Protecting and/or advocating for the oceans, right whales, and other marine animals
  • Connecting people to nature
  • Promoting an environmentally friendly lifestyle

Each organization is asked to provide a hands-on activity to help engage families in the group’s mission. But never fear, you do not need to have programming planned. The Education Department at the New England Aquarium can work with you on how to present your work in a family-friendly way that ties into this year’s focus.

Online vendor registration is now closed. If you still wish to participate, please contact Ashley Malloy at

Please contact Maggie See or Ashley Malloy if you would like more information about our festivals.
