For children in kindergarten through Grade 2, AquaSTEAM provides hands-on, student-driven STEAM learning in the unique Aquarium setting.
This new pilot, after-school series will follow a project-based learning model. Students will identify a problem or question to solve and use tools and information provided to explore the issue, think through options, and present possible solutions. Along the way, we will use the Aquarium’s exhibits to strategically enhance learning and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) skills. The six-week session will culminate in a final student-driven project. This drop-off program will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Aquarium’s Ocean Center. Children must be in kindergarten, Grade 1, or Grade 2 to participate in this class. If your child is in pre-K or K1, please consider the Sea Squirts Advanced classes on Sunday or Tuesday afternoons.
