Member-Exclusive Halloween Party
Friday, October 27, 2017
Thanks to everyone who joined us for Fish, Fun, and Fright, our annual member-exclusive Halloween extravaganza. More than 800 members and their guests crept and wound their way around Central Wharf in its spooktacular glory to trick-and-treat, check out our amazing costumed divers, dance with the DJ (Joie de Vivre) under the swirling lights (courtesy of SociaLight), watch some awesome science in action, and, to top it off, compete to win the coveted top prizes in our Kooky Costume Contest. Check out some of the great social media posts from the evening below!
Please join us in congratulating our costume contest winners:
Best Child Costume: L.Peric (baby Yoda)
Best Adult Costume: S. De Leon (jelly hat)
Best Group Costume: the Muri-Rosenthal family (family of sting rays)
Best Science of Sharks-themed Costume: the Brown family (shark cage with research divers and sharks)
Pictures of the winners are in the gallery below.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many, many staff and volunteers who gave their time, talent, and endless humor to make this event possible, including planning and plotting the event, carving all those great pumpkins, decorating the Aquarium, welcoming and checking in attendees, presenting activities and, not at all least, helping clean up after the night was over. It was a massive, fun, and truly Aquarium-community endeavor.
Thank you to our generous donors: Reynolds DeWalt, Swedish Fish, and Wegmans. Your contributions helped make this one of our best ever. Thank you!
And, of course, thank you to our members for joining us this evening and supporting the New England Aquarium throughout the year.
Happy Halloween, everyone!
