ASL Interpretation of Exhibits and Presentations

April 8, 12:30 – 4 pm

Normally available on the first Sunday of every month, an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be onsite on the second Sunday this month to interpret throughout the building. There is a set schedule of where they will be in the building and when. Visitors can pick up the interpreter’s schedule from the Info Desk.

Special for April 8, a researcher from TERC, Inc., will be demonstrating a new portable, 3D glossary of ASL science terms that is on an iPod Touch. Interested families with deaf or hard of hearing children that use ASL will be invited to use the Signing Aquarium Glossary as they explore the aquarium, and asked to give opinions/feedback.
