About

Monica Zani is an associate research scientist with the Kraus Marine Mammal Conservation Program/Right Whale Research Team. Monica has more than 20 years experience in right whale fieldwork and has led aerial and shipboard research teams throughout the United States and Eastern Canada Monica is the data coordinator for the North Atlantic Right Whale Consortium (NARWC) Photo-ID Database/Catalog, which is curated at the Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life. She works closely with contributors from government and nongovernment organizations to collect data submissions and provide protocols on data collection methods.
