About

Kate McPherson is a research technician with the Right Whale Research Program, contributing to the maintenance of the North Atlantic Right Whale Catalog, WhaleMap, and participating in seasonal fieldwork.

After college, she gained research experience with marine mammals in the North Atlantic through several internships around the Gulf of Maine and Florida before returning to graduate school. Most recently, she flew aerial surveys for North Atlantic right whales in the mid-Atlantic and southeast calving grounds.
