WHAT: Visitors 18+ are invited to spend an evening with the penguins, sea turtles, and tropical fish at the New England Aquarium’s “Aquarium After Dark” event on November 22. A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase, with food stations offering light bites and bars throughout the Aquarium featuring a menu of beer, wine, aquatic-themed cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Once the sun sets, the Aquarium lights also dim to mimic the naturally occurring hours of nighttime—setting up guests to see a few animals that are particularly active at night, such as the Giant Ocean Tank’s nurse shark and green moray eel. There will also be educational engagement opportunities for guests to learn more about the Aquarium’s conservation work and animal care.

WHEN: Saturday, November 22 from 7–10 p.m.

WHERE: New England Aquarium, 1 Central Wharf, Boston

HOW: Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance at neaq.org. This event has sold out due to high demand. There is no waitlist. Those interested in receiving information about future Aquarium After Dark events can sign up here.
