WHAT: The New England Aquarium is pleased to welcome guests with sensory needs to a sensory-inclusive event. The special event will allow guests to enjoy a visit with reduced noise levels, smaller crowds, quiet spaces, and more.

Among the programming and modifications are sensory bags from KultureCity for guests to use inside the Aquarium; a scavenger hunt and quiet activity in the Exploration Station; and a 2D movie screening in the Aquarium’s Simons Theatre with a quieter, brighter setting. A marine mammal mini- training session is scheduled, and divers will be visible in the Giant Ocean Tank as they feed the fish, sea turtles, and animals inside. The Harbor View Café, gift shop, and Trust Family Foundation Shark and Ray Touch Tank will be open. Attendance will be limited to reduce crowds, and increased staffing will allow for additional guest assistance and support.

WHEN: Sunday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the movie screening at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The New England Aquarium and Simons Theatre, 1 Central Wharf, Boston, Mass.

TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children and can be reserved online here.
