About
Joe Masi is an assistant curator in the Animal Care Department. He manages the Giant Ocean Exhibit and Gallery Exhibits teams. In collaboration with area managers, Joe directs team strategy and priorities centered around animal care and welfare, life support systems, and exhibit aesthetics.
Joe started as an aquarist in 2002, caring for various species and exhibits, including corals, tropical fish, jellyfish, sharks, and rays. Throughout his career, Joe has played a role in multiple exhibit renovations, conceptualizing and executing displays that engage and educate visitors.

At the Aquarium and in our Animal Care Center in Quincy, our team provides exceptional day-to-day support for the animals in our care, managing their diet, providing enrichment sessions, and much more.
