
BOSTON, MASS. (Oct. 6, 2026) – The New England Aquarium has hired Victoria McKay as its new associate vice president of development to lead the organization’s frontline fundraising team.
McKay is a Boston-based development leader with nearly 20 years of experience in museums, cultural institutions, and other public-facing nonprofits. In her role at the Aquarium, she will build and lead a team of frontline fundraisers focused on individual, corporate, and foundation fundraising.

Her depth of experience, passion for our mission, and genuine commitment to building meaningful, lasting relationships with donors will be a tremendous asset to the New England Aquarium,” said Piper Hollis, the Aquarium’s vice president of development.
Previously, McKay served as senior director of development at the Massachusetts Historical Society. She holds a double bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston in Art History and International Management and completed the Getty Leadership Institute’s NextGen program for museum managers. McKay has lived on the ocean for more than a decade and enjoys any opportunity to get on the water.
