Please note: General admission ticket sales will be limited on Sunday, May 5th as we welcome Boston Public Schools students and their families for BPS Sundays. We strongly recommend booking tickets in advance to guarantee entry. A limited number of tickets will be available onsite for walk-up purchases when we open at 9:00. Due to high demand on BPS Sundays, we expect to reach our building capacity in the afternoon, at which point we will no longer have tickets available.

About
As a Massachusetts native, Rachel grew up coming to the New England Aquarium. After pursuing her marine biology degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, she returned to the Boston area and began working at the New England Aquarium in 2014. As the husbandry manager, Rachel now oversees the Quincy Animal Care Center, focusing on sustainable collection planning and quarantine efforts for the Fishes Department.
Rachel also manages the Aquarium’s Animal Well-Being Program, working across the Animal Care staff to ensure all of the animals that call the aquarium home experience the opportunity for optimal welfare. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Animal Welfare Committee, which works to establish consistent metrics to measure and advance animal well-being at zoos and aquariums across the country.
